NORAC Monthly Meeting
The first club meeting of the year is set for Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1930 PT.

New business topics for discussion so far:
1. Phase 2 of the WiresX project. We'll be asking meeting members to vote on moving forward with the club's acquisition of a Yaesu FTM-100DR node radio so that we can switch the system to full C4FM digital and allow each member running a C4FM radio to reconfigure the node. Added benefits are improved sound quality (no transcoding to/from analog) and the ability to see the callsign of who you are taking to. Some radios will also show distance to the remote station. With HF propagation poor, WiresX could be your new DX.
2. Vernon Winter Carnival parade is February 3, 2018. Let's get as many club members as possible to assist with this "NORAC sponsored" event. Bob VE7EZI will go over details (we start our part well before the parade actually starts) of our involvement in this event and how you can volunteer service.
