July 15, 2019
We have just completed the Field Day 2019 online Entry for the ARRL. Below are some of the details of that submission.
Call Used: VE7NOR GOTA Station Call: (NONE) ARRL/RAC Section: BC Class: 1A
Participants: 70 Club/Group Name: North Okanagan Radio Amateur Club
Power Source(s): Generator, Battery, Solar
Power Multiplier: 2X
Preliminary Total Score: 1,640
Note: this beats our score of 1,328 for last year running the same 1A class. I doubt we'll win top 1A for all of Canada as there are some big contest clubs out East, but we are in the running to be number one for Western Canada (MB, SK, AB and BC). Fingers crossed.
For bonus points we were able to score the following:

And lastly, here's the map of what we worked:
Colored areas/sections were worked while white sections were not.
Now, how does this compare to others? We won't know until the December issue of ARRL's QST magazine is published... but you know we'll post up another article here as soon as those results are available.
FYI and 73,
